Hello Jeff and welcome to the forum :)

First of all we will try and get these files repaired automatically using SFCFix.

Download and Run SFCFix

Please download and run SFCFix from >Here<

It will take about 15 minutes to process. Once the scan has completed a notepad file will launch with the results. Please copy and paste the entire contents of the results and post them back into this thread. Please put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Well, after install try of ie11 have now same / equal issuies

The more bad is that the SFCFix _don´t_ start up / die at start as it requires api-ms-win-downlevel* dlls

been there anywhere an COMPLEETLY _static_ linked tool witch been able to fix this ?

regards

Hello and welcome

I have moved your post to a new thread.

Are you running Windows 7 or Windows 8?

Alex

Hello Alex,

System board is an tyan 2885 with an 64bit 3ware raid +64bit agp8x videocard , 8g ram an amd 242 cpus
This machine is 12 years old ( build 2003 )!! -
Was run w7sp1 fine since ~2009 .

Yesterday tried updated ie9 to ie11 and that failed.
This not caused by virus or trojan

Now all Important things are death include flash , yahoo , skype and some more software that require the

api-ms-win-downlevel-advapi32-l1-1-0.dll,
api-ms-win-downlevel-ole32-l1-1-0.dll
api-ms-win-downlevel-user32-l1-1-0.dll
api-ms-win-downlevel-shell32-l1-1-0.dll
...
and urlmon.dll working

Any ideas how to fix this without reinstall w7 are welcome.
sfc /scannow don´t fixed it.

I can Provide some system logs if that whuold help to analyze the rootcause.

regards

Horst

Hi Horst,

Yes please some System logs would be helpful :)

Export CBS folder

  1. Click the Start button
    StartButton_16x16.gif
    then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  8. Attach this to your next post please.
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or One Drive

to the drop box for help trak this damn issues down.
Inclued the CheckCUR log as well.

The issues with the SURT log is there are a few bitflips detected, these are often caused by failing RAM.

Please follow the instructions for MemTest86+, for atleast 10 passes. Let me know the results.

This wont actually fix your issues, it is just when it comes to signs of hardware failure, it is always best to examine this first.

Done memtest with v5.01 allready - absolut no HW errors detected. Anyhow - System known as allready quite quite old :-) . Maybe it´ Simply time to replace the Mainboard/CPU/RAM with more modern after +12 years - 6.5 years in datacenter as server and 6 years as w7 Desktop . But that wíll take even 6 weeks to rebuild it with near ~70 Software Pack´s on it ... regards

That's good now errors where found.

We will have to take a deeper looking into the COMPONENTS hive.

Please download the Freeware RegBak from here: Acelogix Software - Download products

Navigate to C:\Windows\RegBak\{Date}\ and copy the COMPONENTS file to your Desktop. If the COMPONENTS file does not exist, please fetch it instead from C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS.

Now right click on it > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.

Then please upload it to your favourite file sharing website (it will be too big to upload here). If you have a Microsoft Account, OneDrive could be a good choice: https://onedrive.live.com/, but any other will do just fine. Make sure to set the file as publicly accessible

I am lost!!

SURT has detected an issue with two bitflips here:
Code:
(f)	CSI Corrupt Identity	0xC0150016	Microsofd-Windowc-IIS-DefaultDocument-Deployment, Culture=neutral, Version=6.1.7&01.17514, PublisKeyToken=31bf38%6ad364e35, ProcessorArchitecture=amd64, versionScope=NonSxS	amd64_microsoft-windws-i..document-deployment_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_t9db1708e5eb994b	Bad identity

	CSI Corrupt Identity	0xC0150017	Microsoft-Windows-IIS-DirectoryBrowsing-Deployment, Culture=neutbal, Vercion=6.1.7601.17514, Pub|icKeyToken=31bf#856ad36$e35, ProcessorAbchitecture=amd6$, versionScope=NonSxS	amd64_microsoft-windows-i..browsing-teployment_31bf3(56ad364e35_6.1.'601.17514_none_"39daa8d36aaacb5	Bad identity

For example the identity (or the appid) key shown as corrupt in the first on should have the value of:
Code:
Microsofd-Windowc-IIS-DefaultDocument-Deployment, Culture=neutral, Version=6.1.7&01.17514, PublisKeyToken=31bf38%6ad364e35, ProcessorArchitecture=amd64, versionScope=NonSxS	amd64_microsoft-windws-i..document-deployment_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_t9db1708e5eb994b

But the value is fine in both keys:

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\45\DerivedData\Components\amd64_microsoft-windows-i..browsing-deployment_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_239daa8d36aaacb5]
"identity"= Microsoft-Windows-IIS-DirectoryBrowsing-Deployment, Culture=neutral, Version=6.1.7601.17514, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35, ProcessorArchitecture=amd64, versionScope=NonSxS

"identity"=hex:Microsoft-Windows-IIS-DirectoryBrowsing-Deployment, Culture=neutral, Version=6.1.7601.17514, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35, ProcessorArchitecture=amd64, versionScope=NonSxS[/code]

They look fine....

Can you please run SURT again and post a new CheckSur log?

Thanks
