The PC version of the wildly popular Minecraft has sold over 7 million copies since the game first went live in November of 2011.
The Xbox 360 version of the game is reportedly selling approximately 17,000 copies a day, generating $340,000 in revenue roughly every 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Android recently hit over 5,000,000 downloads. With all versions combined, Minecraft has sold more than 10 million units to date.
In other game related news, Electronic Arts (EA) exec Peter Moore told Reuters that the sale of digital products could very well account for the majority of the company's revenue with 24-26 months.
"There will come a point, whether it is two or three years from now, when we say 'We are doing more in digital media now than we are in physical media' and it's clearly not far away," he explained.
As TG Daily previously reported, digital game sales continue to defy the recession, as they clocked in at a cool 17% higher in Q2 2012 compared to the same quarter in 2011.
