Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable getting error 1935

I've been trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable for some time now but I'm getting the same error. The error message that I keep getting says,
"Error 1935.An error has occurred during the installation of assembly
'Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP.type="win32",version"8.0.50727.762",pruductKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'.
Please refer to Help and Support for more information."

How can I fix the problem so that I can install the program correctly?

Also I forgot to mention that I am running windows 7 on a 64 bit operating system and no corruptions were detected by the SFCFix thing that I was told to run before posting if that helps in any way.

Step#1 - System Update Readiness Tool (SUR)
1. Download and run the following file.
2. When it asks you if you wish to install, please answer yes. Note: It could take 15 minutes or more to run. Please don't cancel.
3. You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running.
4. Please attach the log from the following location. C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
