Summary: Microsoft is believed to have completed a version of Outlook running Windows RT systems. But it's not clear if or when this ever will come to market.

File this one in the "sources said" folder. But I've now heard from three of my contacts that Microsoft has completed and is testing internally a version of Outlook that runs on Windows RT-based devices.

This "Outlook RT" would run on Microsoft's ARM-based Surface RT devices, as well as any/all other ARM-based Windows RT tablets and PCs.

Here's the catch, though: According to two of these three sources, when/whether Microsoft will make Outlook RT commercially available is not yet decided. This might not ever happen, these sources stressed.

That OneNote app is actually really good. If they make an Outlook for RT, it better be a real app and not a desktop program to be added to the 4 programs that I hardly use in which they already give you for the desktop. With all the power of a Outlook program, it would be too hard to use on the desktop. I tried looking for a solution to run more desktop apps, but after all this time i've been using my Surface, I've been noticing I have the opposite habits from being a desktop user. In my opinion, on an RT device, everything should be apps, no in-between, on a desktop, nearly everything you use is all on the desktop. It's interesting to analyze what gets used the most from device to device.

I tried adapting to the apps on my desktop, and after a while it just wasn't working for me. Now i'm seeing the same trend on my Surface, but with desktop apps. Too hard to use.
