Microsoft Bing goes social in search war with Google

Computerworld - Microsoft's move to boost Bing's social networking feaures could finally give it an opportunity to truly take on Google's dominant search engine, analysts say.
The updated Bing search engine, unveiled on Thursday, can now include the user comments, likes and activities posted in popular social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

Yes :) Finally some competition for Google, this is good, I absolutely hate how Google is now trying to overrun the internet nowadays. Youtube wasn't enough for them, they attempted to start Google+ to overthrow facebook and compete with them, which in my opinion is a failure as of now. They need to be stopped somewhere along the lines. It's pretty sick what they are doing in my opinion now.

Having annoyances with them asking for my phone number, facebook accounts that I do not have, and trying to link them all together. Google account + Youtube + Facebook, etc...

That, is definitely not needed and very annoying the way they want to do that. I should stop using google and just go for the Bing now all the time lol. Going to go change my homepage now. :)

We should all stop using Google and wont. The targeted ads I am now getting follow me everywhere.

I actually remember from once upon a time that Bing is actually the better engine anyways for the way it searches the web... This may be with the aid of having it default with the express settings for IE though too.

Interesting:

According to Bing:
Bing - 302,000,000 results
Google - 93,600,000 results

According to Google:
Bing - 615,000,000 results
Google - 14,120,000,000 results

This is down to the way the engine searches the web however, but I was testing to see the results for each keyword. Definitely not accurate. Can't remember how I found out that Bing was better, but that information is out there somewhere...
