Hey there :)

my Outlook mail app doesn't work properly... I can open it, but it doesn't sync the emails in my inbox (no matter with which programm - beside this app - I access my inbox, there are emails, so it has to do something with the sync of this app...)
I checked the setting and tried to use the tip on this website (Windows 10 Build 10041: Fix für Bug bei Mail, Kalender und Kontakte - WinFuture.de), but that didn't work.
Already asked for help in the HijackThis forum, but unfornatelly they weren't able to help me (Sonstiges Mail App unter Win 10 funktioniert nicht)

Thank you in advance for helping :-)

Hi,

Please check that livecomm.exe is not blocked in your firewall, and make sure sync is enabled.

Hi :D
how exactly do I check this? The only thing I found was my firewall not blocking my mail and calendarapp neiter in public nor in private networks...

And enabling sync doesn't change anything :( it looks like this if I try to sync it:

posteingfang.png
It says: "There are no elements to display" or something like that...

I suggest you temporarily disable your firewall and try syncing again. If that doesn't work, update Windows and try again. If still not working, try disconnecting your account, then reconnect and try syncing again. And if that doesn't work, run command prompt as administrator, type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes, and copy/paste the log file here for inspecting.

[Edit] Please disregard posting the logs for now if there are errors. Instead, just repeat the SFC /SCANNOW followed by a system reboot until all files are fixed.

Hi,

If you found errors during the system file check that couldn't be fixed, do an Inbox Corruption Repair with the DISM /Cleanup-Image
DISM - Repair Windows 10 Image - Windows 10 Forums then again run sfc /scannow

If you're still unable to fix all errors, save the sfc scan results to your desktop using this command
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >"%userprofile%\desktop\sfcdetails.txt

Search the file for the entry "Cannot repair" without the quotes, then copy/paste its info and everything below it in your next post for analysis.

If you didn't have errors, I suggest that you do a system restore to a point before you got the problem. If that don't work try a repair install, and as a last resort refresh Windows 10.

Regards

Hi,

there weren't any errors, it says everything is fine o: I try to do the repair install and report if that helped ^^
thank you :D
