So I have an Acer Aspire laptop running Windows 10 64 bit right now, which has Macrium Reflect free version installed onto it. It is protected by multiple antivirus softwares specifically Norton, Avast, Malwarebytes, Avira and Comodo.
I had finished backing up the system image of the C:\ onto an external drive thru Macrium Reflect free version and things seemingly went fine until I copied the .mrimg system image back to the C:\Users\User\Documents in order to more conveniently restore my computer in the event of malware infection, however ironically it leads to first BSODs frequently on the lines of "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED" while after each reboots, every changes I've made to the computer are undone, including my attempts to delete the backup .mrimg on the Documents folder.
Extreme measures such as Windows reinstall (incl. Diskpart formatting), using Macrium recovery media to replace the system partitions with the last known stable versions, and the KillDisk boot disk are to no avail since somehow the computer will just revert to previous state after crash and reboot, which really reeks of the Edge of Tomorrow movie.
My computer runs on a detachable C:\ SSD so theoretically I think it could be conclusively formatted if it is plugged in on another laptop as a "removable USB drive" and proceed from there. Otherwise, what are the good solutions out there (such as boot disks) which will break the crash/reboot/restore loop?
