Low FPS After Waking Up From Sleep Mode

Hi all, I have Windows 10 pro, and for several months I've had a problem where I have VERY low FPS when gaming, after waking up from sleep. After sleeping, my frames will be between 10 and 15 fps, where my frames would normally be at between 45 and 60 fps.

Is there a way to fix this?

In researching this, I was surprised how many others have reported similar problems - but there does not appear to be any fix. The problem in some cases seems to deal with how data is stored before the computer actually goes into sleep mode (so it can wake more quickly).

The problem is not limited to W10 as W7 and W8 users have complained too. As have NVIDIA and AMD users.

The only consistent solution is to reboot, or shutdown when done using the computer instead of letting it go into sleep mode.

Do make sure your drivers are current, as well as Windows itself. Make sure your system free of malware.

In the meantime, I will keep an eye out for a real fix. Sorry I am not of more help.

Thanks for looking into it. I've searched high and low and found no solutions either. I've been good about updating drivers and such, and the problem continues. I've just been avoiding sleep mode, but I hope they (Microsoft, Nvidia, etc) come up with a fix.
