Lots of BSODs and problems, please help - Windows 7 x64

So I built my new gaming rig about 2 weeks ago, and it ran fine. After about a week I started getting random power offs on my PC and it would automatically reboot. I don't know what I did but it's stopped lately (hopefully). But, replacing it, comes this new problem where I'm getting random BSODs. I've run Bluescreenview and they are all to do with ntoskrnl.exe and a few other files. The last few BSODs all have the same message: "[h=1]A clock interrupt was not received on the secondary processor[/h]Before that, the BSOD I was getting said PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_ERROR

I don't know what to do. I've tested my CPU with IntelBurn and it passed everything. I tested my RAM with windows memory diagnostic and it passed. I ran CHKDSK and no problems were reported. Perfmon isn't working for some reason so I'm not being able to upload that file. However, I've uploaded the other thing from the Posting Instructions. I've deleted AVAST and Kaspersky, I've removed Daemon Tools, and recently I updated my Ethernet Driver or something using Intel's update tool (Haven't had a BSOD since but it was only like an hour ago so I'm going to test that fix for a while)

Can someone give me some suggestions as to what the problem is and how to fix it?

Is there anyway I can link the BSODs to you guys?

Hi,

If you crash after the update of the ethernet driver, please set up your system to generate kernel-dumps, and upload it here.

Kernel-dumps are located at C:\Windows and named MEMORY.DMP. If there is nothing there, you may need to enable generation of them - Creating a Kernel-Mode Dump File (Windows Debuggers)

Hello Patrick, thanks for your help.

I still haven't encountered another BSOD or any sort of problem after I updated that driver, but I'm going to test it for a few more days to make sure. I can't send you the MEMORY.DMP file. The uploader uploads it but then it dissapears. I have compressed it into a RAR file, but it's still a pretty big file. I've been trying for ages but after the upload it just dissapears. Anywhere else I can upload this file for you?

You'll have to upload the MEMORY.DMP to a 3rd party website, it's too large to upload here. Only do that though however if you encounter another BSOD after updating the driver.

So I'm going to bump this old thread.

My computer was stable for about a month, all the BSOD's had stopped and the random reboots had stopped as well. However, just last night, I had another random reboot. I have no clue what is causing this as it was fine for a month. I fixed it the last time by unplugging my computer from the surge protector and putting it into the wall socket. I also took out the cable and put it back in while I did this and then the computer was fixed for a month.

This time it randomly rebooted it was still plugged into the wall socket. I put it back in the surge protector and I unplugged and replugged the cable. But, I just got another random reboot a few minutes ago.

Can someone give me some advice on what to do? I don't think it's my power supply because the fact that it was fine for a month and then suddenly the same symptoms are back leads me to believe something other than my hardware is the case. I am not getting any BSOD's, everything just powers off and then about a second later it powers back on.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

EDIT - it just came to my mind that maybe the cable goes from the socket to the power supply may be faulty? I'm going to try the cable for my old computer (which was perfectly fine) next time I get a random shutdown.

Likely either faulty motherboard or PSU.

Well, when I first ordered all the parts to build my PC (about a month and a half ago), my mobo was faulty and so we got a replacement. I seriously doubt that my replacement was also faulty. If it's then my PSU, I don't understand why for a month it was perfectly fine? And for about a week when I built it it was fine as well.

Hardware faults don't care about time, they just happen depending on what specifically they are. One day, one month, one year, five years... the longer the higher the chance.

I understand that, but is there any specific reason why it stopped occuring? Because the same problem was happening to me, but then after I opened it up, pushed a few plugs in a bit more, replugged the cable and then plugged it into the wall socket it was perfectly fine for a month?

I think I still have a warranty on the PSU I think, but getting returns through Ebuyer is a big hassle :/

I can't really say.

It could be heat related, it could be a grounding issue. Lots of possibilities. You'll need to do some troubleshooting and see what's going on, such as the process of elimination.
