Oh man, am I hoping you brilliant guys and gals can help me.

I have had my laptop for five years, and this is the first time I've ever encountered any issues like this.

About a week or two ago I noticed that my laptop's wifi was showing a red X over it, but, when I click it, it shows my wifi as a connection, and that 'm connected, but above it, it says "connections are available."

So I click the network and sharing centre, and it tells me that I'm not connected to the internet at all - which is bull. I even plugged in my ethernet chord, and the icon will change to show that there's a cord plugged, but again, it will show im not connected in Network and Sharing.

I've done an SFC scan and I got the following log:

I followed The Tech Cookbooks guide to fix it, located: The Tech Cookbook – Windows 7 update (KB3022345) causing corrupt files

But when I go to open the program that I need to use for it, it says "its not a windows application" and can't open. I wanted to do a fresh install of windows 7, but when I contacted microsoft, they told me because my laptop came preloaded with the OS, its an OEM install and my key is only good for ONE time only. :/ So, I have no other options but to try to make this work.

Help help help!!!
