Hi all,

I have a two-week old Lenovo Yoga C930 (latest BIOS and chipset driver, win10) and the audio adapter (realtek) produces popping noises, sort of a train of pops. This laptop comes with amplified speakers, but the issue does not seem to be on that end -- it pops through the headphones as well. Two distinct scenarios are: 1. on booting or waking up after prolonged sleep, 2. when starting skype. Tried Lenovo-recommended driver -- no difference. Win10 provides a newer version -- no result. I saw quite a few posts describing similar issues and people were able to solve them with changing power management settings in the registry, but none of the keys are present in my case. I tried two of these laptops before this one and I know for a fact that this popping isn't normal.

This is a brand-new machine and Lenovo support didn't offer much beyond suggesting factory reset, which I think might be an overkill, especially because I am convinced it's a software issue. I have two more days after my return window expires, so if someone could suggest something, that'd be great.

Thanks!

I would not hesitate to return it. You should not have to fix (or even reset) a 2 week old system.
