[SOLVED] Laptop taking 5-7 minutes to boot

Good morning forum I am need of your knowledge and computer skills today, because I have not discovered what is causing this laptop to take 5 to 7 minutes to boot up. I have worked on this issue for three days now and I have not found the answer not yet. What I've done so far is sfc /scannow , disk check for errors , cut down all the start ups programs and services, check for viruses, clean boot, safe mode boot, check the boot order in the bios and many more things. The laptop is a Toshiba windows 7 64 bit home premium satellite l555-s7005 many help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
 
I performed a gsmart control test on my hard drive to see if the problem lies there and I saw on the forum that a member had a similar problem and it was recommended that he ran the gsmart test for errors so here is my results from the test.

Softwaremaniac thanks for your swift reply a new drive I will get, one more question if i re-format the hard drive will that help with the boot time problem until I get the new drive?

My computer mentors good day to you: question knowing that my hard drive is failing and I need to back up my data what should I put my backup data on a portable storage drive or a portable hard drive? are they the same thing and if not what are the differences. I am looking for one that has a 250- 350 gb capacity. Thanks
 
Thanks my friend I am getting a new hard drive and then transfer the backup data to the new hard drive from the old failing hard drive what tools do I need besides sata cable. The instructions on the web is very confusing and not to the point.Once I get the new hard drive then I will re-install windows 7 and then transfer the backup data to the new hard until I get a portable external drive and transfer the data onto there for good. What tools do I need to make that happen my friends?
 
No tools whatsoever. Just plain copy and pasting.

As for installing the drive, yes, a sata cable and maybe a screwdriver. Depending on whether you can open your case tool-less and if it has a dedicated space for an SSD. If not, you'd have to buy a bracket.
 
What type of utility should I use to transfer this data from my old hard drive to my new hard drive,my old hard drive will be use as a external hard drive until I purchase a new portable external drive. These are the products that I have been looking at ide/sata 3.0 adapter by vantec or an external hard drive enclosure 3.0 that has everything I need to get the job done including the power source as well, for $30.00 or less.
 
I would recommend you copy all the important data to an external hard drive and then copy it back to the new drive after you have installed a clean copy of the operating system onto it. What you are talking about is cloning, which is not recommended in your situation, because of the bad drive.
 
okay I see said the blind man, so its best to buy a new internal hard drive and a external portable drive and transfer everything over to the external drive correct? To much studying has perhaps drove me mad lol !!!!! I was trying to figure out the most economical way of doing this. Your recommendation is well stated and preferred.
 
Hello my forum friends I am about to purchase the portable storage drive that was recommend on number #11 of this thread the question I have is, is there any cables or accessories that I need to buy along with the portable drive? the reason I ask is because on the description order there of the portable drive does not state that the usb cables come with the purchase.
