Hi!
My laptop takes forever to start, and the HD-ikon is blinking so I suppose it has to do with that? :noidea: Could it be that the PC has too many start-up-programs? (I wouldn`t know what to delete, if so!) I also thinks it takes to long for it to shut down.

Regards Ingjerd

Hi Ingjerd,

Please download Autoruns, Autoruns for Windows - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs.
  • Extract the zip and run Autoruns or Autoruns64.
  • In Autoruns, click File and choose Save.
  • Save it as ARN on your desktop, this could take a while.
  • Go to your desktop, right click the ARN file and choose Send to and select Compressed (zipped) folder.

Upload the zip folder.

Click Go advanced and click manage attachments under the textbox

Please follow the instructions in post #2 again, make sure to extract Autoruns zip, run the tool, save the information, zip it and upload the zip with the information from Autoruns.

There aren't many startup items, but I would disable ASUS, HP and Cyberlink items. Also, if you don't need Java I would recommend to remove it.

What laptop model do you have?

You can delete all HP items, even the one for your HP printer. It doesn't need to start at boot to work.

Yesterday the laptop took about 12 minutes to open. I then deletet the items you told me to delete. Today it took seconds! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :thumbsup2: You guys are just great! Another donation is coming

Great to hear and thank you for the donation :smile9:
