This is the weirdest thing ever. It doesn't matter what program I am in but when I hit the "L" key on my Logitech Y-R0065 wireless keyboard, the screen blanks and after about 15 seconds, the Windows login screen comes up. All programs running are still running as if nothing happened. Obviously, the "l" key registers on the screen. I've typed most of this message with the copy and paste function instead of typing the letter "l". I ran SFCFix and got no errors. (see below.) So strange!

I went into the Logitec unifying (receiver) software. I removed the keyboard as a device. I turned the keyboard off. Going back into the unifying software, I switched on the keyboard, software found it. I typed a bunch of l's in the box to verify the keyboard was working. No problem. letter l typed in just fine. Closed the program. Went into Notepad, typed "l" and the screen blanked again. Ugh!

On-screen keyboard types L just fine. I am currently going through Logitech's automated troubleshooting. My gut feeLing is the probLem is with their Options or Options+ program. StiLL working on it.

Keyboard causes same probLem on a different computer. Has to be a hardware issue. Thank you for your heLp.

Glad it's resolved. Logitech makes excellent keyboards, usually. You might have just been unlucky. If it's still under warranty, put in a claim.

That would be a "sticky" Windows key (the one with the banner) since the shortcut Windows + L is locking the screen as you described.
Eventually you can try to pull of the Windows key keycaps and clean the area below and the keys themselves.
