I've got server 2016 standard Build 10.0.14393 build 14393. Windows Update fails, i also tried downloading the update from the windows catalog and running it manually and that fails with the same error.
sfc /scannow won't run and fails saying: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
I've tried running it it safe mode as well as trying to use the install disc as a source to no avail.
