Well, I clicked "Cleanup All Versions", and now it broke tons of applications on my computer.....applications say they can't start without .NET 4 installed, and I cant install .NET anymore....when I try to install .NET 4 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851) (ive tried several different ones), it says the installation failed, and the installer crashes. And all of the windows updates still fail. The CBS.log is 175 megabyes now and I can't delete it
Those are .NET dependent apps. We'll take care of this as we fix the Framework issue.
What error code are you getting now during the install attempt? Please try installing the latest one (4.7.2) and when it fails, provide CBS.log. It's going to be big, so I recommend using a file sharing service.
When I try to install .NET 4.7.2, about 3/4 of the way through the setup process it opens a file location dialog and wants me to locate some MSI file. And I cant find it so I click cancel and the rollback process starts. No CBS logs were generated
