Ugh I've tried everything I can think of (including just trying to install it via DISM) and it still reverts at the end. Even tried repairing .net. My next step will be to remove .net and see if that makes a difference while I wait for a response from the gurus ;) This unfortunately is affecting many PCs in my organization today.

Can you please go to services.msc and disable the Workstation service? Make sure you set the startup type to Disabled as well and restart the computer. Afterwards, retry updates.

Disabled Workstation service.
Retried update manually: Failed, reverting changes.

Found the solution, at least for me (and a few others). if PDQ Inventory Agent (and/or Deploy/Inventory Console) is installed, these updates fail. Uninstalled them and the patches installed successfully. Curious if you notice anything in the logs related to that find.. ?

Would you mind guiding me through the log to find the errors so I can inform them? Thanks!

Sure! This is the error we are seeing:

Code:

And some similar ones, but they are related to powershell components.

Thanks for this. Make sure you ask others if they have PDQ installed if they complain about these patches before spending too much time on it! :)
