Good morning @ all,

after 4 years without any problems (Windows 7 Pro x64), I got an error with the monthly rollup "KB4284826".
It shows me the errorcode "80073701"
and the CBS.log says "HRESULT = 0x80073701 - ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING" for:
1. Package_164_for_KB4103718~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.4
2. Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~7601.24149.1.4

I tried to uninstall the KB4103718. But it isn't shown up in my updatelist.
Also the command "wusa /uninstall /KB:4103718" say 0x080070490 (not found)
and the command "dism /online /get-packages | findstr KB4103718" founds nothing on my system.

STEP.2 (Run SFC Scan):
Shows me some errors, which couldn't be fixed
sfc.png

STEP.3 (SURT/DISM Scan):
Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64.msu installation went through correctly, the CheckSUR.log shows no errors.

STEP.3,5 (Reset Windows-Update):
Even reregister and rename the "SoftwareDistribution" and "Catroot2" doesnt't fix anything.
Same for a reset of Winsock.

STEP.4 (Run SFCFix):
SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro.
Start time: 2018-06-14 14:29:16.639
Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 - amd64

You could close this thread. I began to reinstall the whole system.
(For my next System-Backup, I will skip the installation of any monthly rollup and only install the security updates. So I could install the newest monthly rollup in future [after every backup])

Thanks alot, and everything is fine! I'm done with the reinstallation of Windows. And I havn't install any "Monthly Rollup" before I made an Backup. So now I install the KB4284826 and everything went well
