Hello,

I have a problem installing the KB3191566.
I tried a SFCFIX, here is attached the report.

On the other hand, when I run the command "dism / online / cleanup-image / scanhealth", I get the error "0x80004005, DISM failed, no operation was performed"

I am also attaching the latest CBS.log and DISM.log

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello and welcome!

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace and then just provide the link in your reply.

Hello,

Thank you for your quick reply.

The problem is not on my computer but that of a friend, so I do not have access now.
But as soon as I have access I will post the file requested.

Sorry for the delay

Hello,

Sorry again for the response time.

Here is the file requested : COMPONENTS.zip

Thank you.

I believe I haven't.

Is regedit backup on C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack ? If it is, there isn't file named "COMPONENTS"

Yes. The one you provided is bad and has likely been replaced at an earlier time.

You can try to do a repair install.

If that fails, do a clean install, I'd recommend going straight for Windows 10 1909.

OK, but is it not possible to recover a COMPONENTS "virgin" and healthy file and replace it on the PC in error?

The repair install, is it like I'm doing a new installation?

Thank you

Hi

So I finally reinstalled the system, I have no restore point sufficiently old, dating from before the appearance of the problem.

Thanks for your help.
