I have read every thread and tryed almost everything, but my computer (win 8.1 x64) simply won't install the update KB3000850.
I've tried to solve the problem with both "sfc /scannow", "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth" and "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth". I've used all the commands several times.

I've also tryed (several times) using SFCFix both without making use of my Windows install DVD, and making use of the DVD. SFCFix says that the restore operation completed successfully, but still i can't get the update to install and if i use "sfc /scannow" it stil tells me that some files could not be repared.
When using Windows update it almost completes, but then ends up saying that the update could not be installed. The errormessage has code 800700A1.

I've also tried downloading the updatefile from Microsoft, but it also won't install, but ends up with saying that the update was not installed.
If anyone has any ideas of what to do, i would very much apreciate it.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes - i'm not english.

Here is the logfile from SFCFix:

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named LiquidTension. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phrase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Re: KB3000950 won't install on Windows 8.1 pro

Thank's a lot - i'm quite confident with the way you guys handle things ;-)

By the way - is it possible to change my headline so that it gets the correct KB-number? - if possible please tell me how.
Best regards

Hello rukumi,

Please follow the steps outlined in the guide linked below:
GUIDE: MSDTC.log corruption (Error 800700A1 when installing KB3000850)

The other two files referenced in your SFCFix log are incorrectly reported as corrupt:
Code:
[COLOR=#161616]CORRUPT: C:\WINDOWS\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-u..ed-telemetry-client_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17842_none_90da81a4dac50d54\utc.app.json[/COLOR]

After working your way through the guide linked, please run Windows Update and let me know if the update installs.

Helllo LiquidTension,

Hi LiquidTension,

This evening, when i shut down my computer it said that updates were applied and when i restarted and went to Windows Update i suddenly said that the KB 3000850 was installed. In Windows Update i can see that it has failed at least 10 times, so i really don't know what just happend. Anyway - it seems that the update is now installed and i suppose that i'm now able to make a Windows 10 update. Thanks for the help.
