Hi everyone. Quite a relief to find this forum, I hope you guys can help, I have intermittent, hopefully related problems that you guys might be able to help me with.

What brought me here is a Google search for the KB3000850 error 800700a1. So I ran the SFC /SCANNOW and sfcfix.exe and I've attached the results.

In addition to this, what I hope are related problems is that sometimes, on a cold boot, the PC seems to hang immediately (monitor doesn't even get a signal) (I'm inclined to believe that this is likely more hardware related, but I'm not certain). Other than that, sometimes when I run updates, it stays at the "Operations are in progress..." screen (can go on for >12 hours) which I'm sure is not right - which is when I usually have to force shut down the PC.

All I'm asking though, is help to solve the problems identified in the sfcfix.txt and CBS log folder; if the other problems still exist afterward, I'll treat them as a separate issue.

(Sorry I had to split the file for CbsPersist_20150518230745 - was too big as a single file - the .zip needs to be removed from the z01 file - had to add the .zip extension to upload it)

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. I don't see any issues that need fixed from your logs. Can you please attempt to install KB3000850 again. If it fails, please provide the following.

C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Copy each of these to your desktop and then zip them up and attach. If they are too large to attach, please upload to a service such as SendSpace and just provide the link. Thank you.

Thanks for the quick reply Brian, I was a little wary of my post being lost in the throng. Maybe the SFCfix.txt that came up was a prior one that wasn't overwritten, it kept displaying 4 errors; I do feel a lot better after your response though. Anyway, tried the update again and it was a success! Thank you! :)
