These two updates are not installing. In the logs it states that it is failing to reserve space in %windir% even though this computer has 847GB free on the C drive. Please help me? I can't get Windows 10 because of these things. Thank you very much!

    Run as Administrator
  • On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);

    Note: There's a space between "sfc" and "/scannow";
  • Once the scan is complete, enter the command below and press on Enter
    Code:
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  • A file called cbs.txt will have appeared on your Desktop. Upload the file on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and post the download URL for it here;
Note: Please note that the CBS.log is volatile, which means that if you don't upload it after the SFC scan is completed, it won't contains the information from the scan anymore. So archive it and upload it as soon as you can.

I think I know what the issue might be, but we'll just run SURT first to make sure there's nothing wrong with your files. Follow the instructions below please.

  • Download the right version of SURT for your system;
    • Your version of Windows is:
  • Once downloaded, execute the installer, and go throught the installation (this process can take around 15-20 minutes);

Alternatively, if these instructions are unclear for you, you can follow the tutorial below.

System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)

Alright the SURT log is clean. What I want you to do now, is to go in your Control Panel under your programs list (where you go to uninstall them). You're going to find the program below:

Code:
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1

Right-click on it and select Modify. Then, you'll be given the option to repair the installation, do it. Once done, it'll ask you to restart your computer. Do it, and try to install the updates again.

All good no worries :) I just noticed that you posted this first:

In the logs it states that it is failing to reserve space in %windir% even though this computer has 847GB free on the C drive

In which log did you see that? Can you attach it for me?

It was in a CBS log before posting this error to the website. It now shows multiple errors of other kinds. Mostly 0x800f080d. And there are no signs of the %windir% error now.

Alright, can you uninstall "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1", then try to install the KB2901983 again manually?

I found the log. It was one that the manual installer referred me to.
However, I will not have access to this computer for a long time. My aunt wanted me to do these repairs while visiting and I'm leaving now. I'm sorry for the trouble! However, I may end up with the same problem at my home computer...I hope not ^^" But thank you for everything!!:D
Also, the manual installer failed after doing what you said again. :|

No problem kaito, sorry that we weren't able to fix that issue. You are free to bump this thread shall you ever work on that computer again for this specific issue, alright? :)
