Uninstall a Windows Update - Command Prompt
Follow the instructions below to uninstall a Windows Update manually via the command prompt.
  • On Windows Vista & 7, click on the Windows Start Menu, then enter cmd in the search box, right-click on the cmd icon and select Run as Administrator
  • On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • Enter the command below (you can copy/paste it, to paste in the command prompt, right-click inside it and select Paste):
    • wusa /uninstall /KB:3035583
  • Let me know the outcome of the command: either it uninstall the update or either it says that the update isn't installed on the system;

The command wusa /uninstall /KB:3035583 got following dialog: "The install program found an error: 0x80070490 Element not found."

I tried the not working updates (were about 9) and all but one worked: KB2952664 got the code 80073712

You can thank my teacher Brian who managed to source these files so I couldn't find them :) Here goes, two more to replace.

Here is the actual: View attachment CheckSUR.log

I could install the missing update, but the Windows 10 Logo would not come. So I manually uninstalled the kb3035583 (which was installed) via the programs&functions update section (it didn't work via command prompt) and tried to install it again -> now it wouldn't install and got the error 80070bc9

sfc /scannow didn't find any errors any more.

So I tried the SFCFix again and got following log:

After my last post I did a SURT again - the Windows 10 Logo showed up and after this I could install the kb3035583. Yeah - afterwards the Windows 10 Logo vanished again...
Then I did the SURT with your packs.zip and the SFCFix with your SFCFix.zip. Windows 10 Logo still missing.

Here are the results:

I think kb3035583 was not correctly uninstalled as it is listed as 2x installed with the date from first installation in May and yesterday. I just uninstalled both. I'll try to reinstall it and make a SURT afterwards.

I could intall the kb3035583 and the windows10 Logo showed up again. While shutting down it tried to install an update for about 20 minutes (even though it didn't show any missing updates!). After starting up again the update window states an error on the last installed update (time stamp is ok), but if you click on the list there is no entry with an error on the first positons (only kb3035583 which installed ok). Strange

So at the moment I am running SURT once more and will post the result again. Don't know if the system is now stable and clean or not.
