I have been searching the forum but a lot of those are stating that the fix only applies to that specific user. Which means I should not use those solutions that have that statement... right? Thanks and I hope my issue gets reviewed soon!

I looked into my laptop and it had an issue with the network icon and a yellow exclamation point. This turned out to be that the Network Listing Service was not started because the Windows Log service had issues starting. Once I fixed the Windows Log issue and restarted the NLS and NLA, I was able to update to the latest Windows 8.1 update. That is past the point I have ever gone... so this is great! Now I am in the process of upgrading to Windows 10. Still running at the moment but I wanted to write this up while I am waiting to give you and sysnative.com a big THANK YOU. Regards.
