Issues with corrupted files and updating windows 8.1

When I have been trying to update, the control panel version of windows updater freezes when attempting to update. I have tried the update troubleshooter, this hangs on starting bits service for a little while then finishes the troubleshooter saying that "windows update components must be repaired". I have done sfc /scannow, this fails with found corrupted files but unable to repair. Apparently my cbs.txt is too large to upload, not sure what I can trim to get it down to size.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
