Hey all,

Having an issue installing the above mentioned patch. I think the server ran out of space while installing the update at some point and got corrupted. I've since added space and tried to run the update again and I keep on getting the error 0x800f0985. DISM /restorehealth comes back w/ error 0xd0000034. Attached are my logs. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Step 1. Download
6530fbb0f4101-56f31e53c97da-SFCFix.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Thanks @Maxstar! That seems to have fixed the issue. Ran the SFCFix, DISM, and Windows Update. This server is in production, so I won't be able to reboot until after hours to verify that WU go all the way through, but DISM didn't come back w/ any errors and the update installed successfully. I'll update if there's any issues after a reboot.
