Recently, my windows update has been unable to download or check for updates. Upon googling around a bit, I was directed to use the windows update troubleshooter to find out what's wrong. However, the troubleshooter returns this error after running. I've tried running both sfc/scannow and checking CheckSUR.log, but neither are reporting any issues. Furthermore, the windows update service (wuauserv) continues to have high cpu usage, even though it's not doing anything. I've also found that, if wuauserv is not using large amounts of my cpu, another svchost.exe service will be. This usage only goes down if I manually stop wuauserv. I'm a bit lost on what else to try right now, as all the fixes on the microsoft forums seem to have failed. One strange thing is that the troubleshooter was initially reporting error 0x80070057, but it changed to the current one after I uninstalled and reinstalled MSE. Any help would be appreciated.

Because I did not post this on my initial post, SFCFix.exe did not find any errors as well. My CBS.zip is too large to upload, so I'll do it with the other method.

Update: Running the windows update trouble shooter no longer displays the error. However, I still cannot install updates, as it appears that it's still stuck in "searching for updates." I re-ran sfcfix.exe and it once again returned no errors. Upon running the troubleshooter, this error appears instead. Wuauserv is still taking up large amounts of cpu when it runs.
