Hi all,
I'd like to introduce me, a self learned computer geek with 30+ years of experience, ranging from CBM64 to Windows10.
Unix/Linux, Mac OSX and macOS are familiar too.
I have been interested in computers since I learned about C=64. It did not take me long to learns Commodore Basic - and move on from there to Assembly on that machine. Programmers' Reference Guide is my bible... :)
When computers started to appear in graphic arts industry, I manhandled mysel to work on them. HELL ChromaCom System was the workhorse of the day...
A little later, UNIX systems replaced the Siemens R30 and Digital Equipment Corporation PDP 11/73 systems in graphics arts industry (later to be replaced by Macs and Photoshop...)
Learned MS-DOS 5 and 6, the GEM windowing system, and then Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups 3.11.
The rest is modern history.
