Hello Everyone,

my laptop had upgrade to windows 8.1(version 6.3 build 9600) recently.

after i finish installing all the required software and upgrades the problem pop-up.

the IE 11 can not be open and there is no response at all after starting the program, no session running in the background neither.

Some program like Adobe Reader popup the "bad image" error on starting up telling that C:\windows\system32\ieframe.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x000007b.

i tried to repair the corrupted file with SFCfix but did not succeed.

it would be much appreciated if i could get the problem solved here.

log as below:

Hello and Welcome!

I'll need to take a look at your components hive to trace some of these files.

Please manually upload the components hive by following these instructions:

Upload Components Hive
  1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config
  2. Right-click on the current COMPONENTS file and select copy
Note: If you get an error that the file is in use, reboot your computer and then try again.
  3. Right-click on your Desktop and select paste
  4. Right-click on the COMPONENTS file on your Desktop and select Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder
  5. Upload the zip from your Desktop to a file sharing service such as DropBox, OneDrive, SendSpace, etc. and include the link with your reply.

Hey, I had a somewhat similar problem sometime back. 3 things that should work.

If you have your Windows 8.1 on a USB or CD or something, running it and clicking repair fixes the corruptions. If you don't have one, creating a bootable USB is pretty easy and straight forward.

You could refresh your windows (I honestly dislike this, you end up back at windows 8, redownloading all the updates just to get back to 8.1)

The one I honestly recommend and has helped me out of numerous jams is using the tweaking.com Window's repair all in one. Its totally free, and I've seen it work wonders.

  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.

  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

Download SFCFix.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

After reboot, the bad image error seems been solved and no more 0x000007b errors pops up.

but the
IE problem remains...
IE 11 still can not be open and there is no response at all after starting the program, no session running in the background neither.

chrome works without any problem.

i tried to disable the internet explore 11 and enable it once again.

Now IE 11 can be opened, problem solved.

thanks very much for helping
