Hello thought i'd post this here with the hope of some expert help!
Bought new PC late last year, in the first few weeks i noticed minor/moderate audio problems (pops/cracks)... tried un/reinstalling audio drivers nothing really worked but issue seemed to go away on its own...
Today i turned her on... very laggy, not just audio pops but PC was generally very slow at loading and just generally really bad and nothing like it has happened before. Even the cursor was moving strangely, changing speed. LatencyMon readings were off the charts. Restarted a few times... BSOD happened once with DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION after i tried to resize a window.
But after keeping the PC on for 15 minutes or so, the problem evaporated!
In my limited knowledge i think there is some deeper issue with a driver perhaps. But how it is able to resolve itself?!
The below LatencyMon readout is what im getting now that the problem has 'gone away' - it still says there may be an issue. As i said the readings were all the way red before. Noted drivers: dxgkrnl.sys, nvlddmkm.sys, rspLLL64.sys.
I ran the Driver Verifier and after restart it gave BSOD with DRIVER VERIFIER DETECTED VIOLATION and gave gdrv.sys.

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.
Highest measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 1474.8750
Average measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 80.896242
