I messed up a Windows 8.1 update and lost Bluetooth from my Device Manager

For background on this, and what I've tried, please read Just ran an update, bluetooth is GONE! - Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

I'm owning up to this. I messed up. I went to do some updates and it may not have been a good idea to do them through the Windows Start - Updates path, because it was taking a super long time and I apparently made the mistake of hitting Cancel. Then after the ensuing processes, I got some advice from a Google search, saying to just delete the Bluetooth stuff in Device Manager, and reboot, and Windows would reinstall them. It didn't.

So I was finally referred over here from the above thread, ran the file check stuff, was told that some files were corrupted ( duh ) and then ran the repair tool, which took a long time, but says it fixed them. I then ran the file check again, and it said they were ok.

But the Realtek Bluetooth still hasn't reappeared on my Device Manager - EVEN THOUGH I managed to get everything turned on in the processes, and it says it's running. I just cant go about detecting a Bluetooth device, and linking it to the PC, where it was linked before I messed things up.

So help here would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi MamaBear2019,

Please ensure you've read Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions and provide the requested logs in step 5.

Thanks Axe0. For some reason I'm subscribed to this thread, but didn't get notified of your reply. I ran the tests before signing up as a member, so will re-run them and post logs. Thanks!

After this, I rebooted and the BlueTooth still doesn't show up in Device Manager. Not sure what to do next.

I went into Control Panel and found the Realtek Bluetooth driver that wasn't showing up in Device Manager - still there. So I uninstalled it, then rebooted. I would have THOUGHT that the OS would detect that I have internal Bluetooth on the PC, but it appears not to. It didn't reinstall it properly, or AT ALL.
