Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace and then just provide the link in your reply.

There appears to be quite a significant amount of corruption and therefore I would strongly suggest that you run MemTest86 for at least 8 passes (will require two runs of 4). The test can take some time to complete and therefore it is recommended that you run the tool over night. In the meantime, I'll find the suitable replacements for those corrupted files for you.

Here's the first batch of fixes, it won't repair everything so SFC will fail, although, it should hopefully get regedit working for you.

HI, it actually killed a working regedit.exe. I can copy a working regedit from windows/sysWOW64

Did you run SFC afterwards? You mentioned that regedit wasn't working to begin with and it is one of the corrupted files.

I was able to figure out where to find a working regedit in syswow64 earlier. this is why I created a new post before.
I copied it again (regedit) and it is working fine now.
Sfc still crashing at 98%. logs attached.
