Make sure you have enough free space on your Windows drive, according to Microsoft you will need 20GB available.

What antivirus product do you have, if any?

There is not a way to fix it, if you uninstall the Intel driver it will let you upgrade using the Microsoft basic display driver.
The downside is that the display resolution will be stuck at 800x600, which you do not want.

Install Microsoft Basic Display Driver

1. Right click on your display adapter (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator ... ).
2. Click properties​.
3. Click the driver tab.
4. Click the update driver button.
5. Choose browse my computer for driver software.
6. Choose let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
7. Click on Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
8. Click the next button.
