I bought ram to make faster but nothing changes

Ram was 1+ 512 ,
2.8 ghz p4
gigabyte 8ig1000p

I bought 2x 1 gb ram hilevel and put into motherboard. Before, sometime there waas lack of ram.

Now for example chrome is open, i opened firefox. It opened lately but no lack of ram or no freeze of applications.

I open tabs but they open fully lately

I thought pc can only see 3 gb ram because it is 32 bit but now it shows 3.5 gb ram.

If i buy a 3.0 ghz or 3.2 ghz cpu, there will be a change? MAybe it iwill be ht technology and change somethnig?

Maybe because of rams have low clocks. What can i do for multiprogramming threading with efficient?
