Thanks for reporting back. Your steps for installing Service Pack 1 were perfect, that is what I would have recommended doing. Sometimes, after replacing corrupt files as we did, some of the stuck updates require manual installation, which you did perfectly. :)
In regards to the files in the CheckSur folder, you can delete them if you like. The chances of you getting exactly the same problem is practically none, so they wouldn't be much use. If you did happen to have another problem, it would need it's own set of replacement files to fix. Therefore, you can delete the files in the CheckSur\ folder.
