I've moved your post into the Lounge since it isn't a question which is suited for any of the help forums since we specialise in resolving issues with Windows operating systems. However, some of our members may have some experience with creating Linux distros and so may be able to help you still.

Having said this, have you posted on any Linux forums to see if they may be able to assist you?

I think as a beginner you'd struggle to create your own linux distro - there are a few hacky ways you could use to rebrand Ubuntu or similar, but the names of software/IDs etc tend to be pretty heavily embedded into the code.

I haven't followed the steps linked to before, and they're fairly complicated, so run at your own risk.

To properly create a new distro, you'd need to recompile all Linux code from scratch - not an easy task unless you're very familiar with Linux development.

First, I have to ask why? There are already hundreds of distros. Check the right hand column here. This lists the top 100 by number of page hits. DistroWatch.com: Put the fun back into computing. Use Linux, BSD.

Generally people discuss things in one of those families.
So you first have to decide what current linux OS you want to base yours on. If it is based on a popular one like Mint linux, people would probably pass yours over and install Mint instead. If it is based on an obscure distro, not too many people would be aware of it.
How do you intend to "broadcast" your distro?

Foresight Linux was developed by one person. He had to give it up because it took too much time.

Are you prepared to spend a lot of time updating packages and kernels?
