Now that travel restrictions are being lifted I'll resume travelling and despite my best efforts there's always the possibility that my laptop will be lost or stolen. I know there is a way to set two-step authentication whereby I have to enter a code that is sent to my cellphone when opening any Google app after logging out. In fact I've had to do so before, but not always. I looked through Chrome privacy and security but didn't see this setting.

I already have two-step verification enabled! I think the reason I don't have to use the code on my phone every time is because I have my laptop listed as a trusted device. What I can do before a trip is to REVOKE ALL. Thanks for the link.
