How do I download and save an mp3 file from website?

Seems I've done this before but I forget how. Often I'm looking at a website for a conference or something and I can play an mp3 file:

But there's not always a download link. I would like to download the file, save it to my phone and listen to the lecture in my car through the radio speakers. I'm not attempting to sell the mp3 or do anything that is illegal or a copyright infringement. (Although just downloading it might be against the rules to begin with.)

Now at one time I could right click on the screen, select view source and search for the mp3 file. But even when I can see the file, I have no way to download it.

I'm using Microsoft Edge. Is there a browser that makes this easier?

No need for anything that complicated! You can just right click on the playback bar and choose "Save Audio As" to save the mp3 file. This works in all browsers - FF, Chrome, (old) Edge and (new) Edge

Hmmm. So what am I doing wrong? I switched to Chrome thinking it might be easier, and when I right-click on the playback bar I don't get the option to save the mp3. The Save as... is to save the webpage, not the mp3 file.
