Hello guys,

About 3 days ago, Mars Wifi (a WiFi Hotspot Software), failed to create hotspot. So I manually tried to host ICS network using command line but keeps saying

"The hosted network couldn't be started. The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation."

So I googled about it. Tried every approach like:

  • netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=[name] key=[password]. Start it by using netsh wlan start hostednetwork.
  • Disable/Enable the virtual WiFi Miniport driver. (Hosted Network Virtual Adapter is nowhere to be found on my device manager even the Show Hidden devices is ticked.)
  • Restart WLAN AutoConfig(?) and ICS service on services.msc
  • Full scan my system with ESET.
  • Ran CCleaner.

I'm really frustrated even the Shareit is malfunctioning. Hope you can help me.

I am not familiar with this Mars software. Did everything used to work fine with this computer and software? Any recent hardware changes?
