High DPC latency from NDIS.sys, storport.sys causing audio issues

Hey so I'll run you through what I've done thus far for this issue. Out of the box I've had issues with audio latency and audio crackling and popping, with some slow video streaming maybe related. I Literally just opened a dell inspiron gaming 15. Specs here Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

I've uninstalled and reinstalled every audio and network drive from the device manager I could, updated BIOS, reset computer, did a clean install of windows, tried disabling audio enhancements, and ran hardware diagnostics through dell BIOS. Still the same issue. I looked at event viewer and I keep getting a DistributedCOM error if that is related. Here's the errors on my event viewer in just the last couple days. This issue is making me lose my mind and I would love any help I could possibly get. Thanks so much.
 
Since the latency issue appears to be storage related: Why does your storage show as being in a RAID configuration?
 
That's just how the computer came. Sorry, that was an old screenshot of my specs taken before I switched it over to AHCI in BIOS and then took these readings.

New Specs. Latency tests above were taken with SSD in AHCI config.
 
Nothing too significant pops out. I would recommend checking your drives for errors since there were some IO spikes and a hard fault with your RAM that may suggest a paging issue to disk.



I would also recommend updating your NVIDIA drivers and/or trying the drivers provided by Dell to see if that provides any help with the audio latency; I do see some display related latency that may or may not be a factor in your troubleshooting.



Also check for any storage controller drivers provided by Dell in the above link. There may also be updates to your SSD firmware.


Do the problems only occur when using Google Chrome, or do they occur with other tasks or other browsers?

It seems to be getting a lot better, there is still some very minor stuff but its only present in browsers. Spotify has no underruns whatsoever, no latency. Chrome and edge both seem to have latency.
 
it seems streaming video might be the issue. Hmmm weird. Updated video drivers.

Let us know if things improve with the drivers.

If that does not resolve the latency issue, I would also suggest checking the Dell driver support for any SSD firmware update(s) and the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver update(s). You'll find them under Serial ATA in the driver list.
