Hello, I might have find out the cause of rather bad performance in games on my computer.. been messing with counter strike global offensive for few months trying to solve it and found something interesting.
The best describtion of the problem would be , that the performance of my computer is being used for something else and not the game.
Despite the fact, that my computer runs the game at 120 frames per second, there's no fluidity at game actions, etc mouse movement or watching other player models run. Now you may ask, how do I know it runs bad? Well I've done some tweaks that slightly improved the situation and it is not a placebo. First of all, I reconnected my headphones from back of the case to front. There was noticeable change in the quality of sound, no more additional bass, the sound itself wasn't rich anymore, however the responsivness of counter strike global offensive improved a lot. Secondly, changed the mouse polling rate from 1000hz to 500 , this was suggested by user from another forum. After doing so I noticed a change in HWMonitor software, after playing the game it displayed max usage 89% per each core instead of 100%. Now I though that I might be heading the right direction of solving the problem, is there anything else I could adjust to gain performance?(reduce cpu usage?)
Note: it's a fresh windows 10 PRO x64 install with drivers from motherboard page installed.
CPU: Intel i5 4690 at 3.9 ghz
GPU: GTX 1060 3gb
RAM: DDR3 Kingston HyperX blue 2x4 1333mhz cl9
