Hi! I'm glad I found this forum; I think I'll end up using it a lot. I've had a love/hate, I mean, hate/HATE relationship with Windows Update for a while. In particular since the one time it decided it was a good idea to install updates at night when my laptop wasn't plugged in, leading it to run out of battery while updating and ruining it forever. YAY!

I used to always run my laptop from the mains when installing any Windows Updates to avoid that exact problem.
