Why is Linus Torvalds, father of the open source Linux operating system, so angry? It's the years of neglect that his baby has suffered at the hands of NVIDIA, apparently.
Speaking at Aalto University in Finland, Torvalds called NVIDIA "the single worst company [the Linux Foundation] ever dealt with (watch his response here). As Ubergizmo points out, NVIDIA has traditionally offered little to no hardware support for its products on the Linux platform. NVIDIA also refuses to release the info necessary to create an open source data for fear of revealing too much about their intellectual properties.
