Helppp - Windows 8.1 x64 BSOD

Hi,

Both of the attached DMP files are of the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) bug check.

This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.

BugCheck 9F, {3, ffffe0016ac99060, fffff8006ae13a70, ffffe0016dc2e510}

If we run an !irp on the 4th parameter of the bug check (blocked IRP address):

Code:
>[ 16, 2]   0 e1 ffffe0016ac99060 00000000 fffff80109ef7440-ffffe00169efaa40 Success Error Cancel pending
          Unable to load image \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\[COLOR=#ff0000]ataport.SYS[/COLOR], Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for [COLOR=#ff0000]ataport.SYS[/COLOR]
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for [COLOR=#ff0000]ataport.SYS[/COLOR]
 \Driver\atapi    CLASSPNP!ClasspPowerUpCompletion

ataport.sys is the ATAPI Driver Extension, however it is not the true cause of the crashes. With this said, we're dealing with a 3rd party driver causing file system conflicts.

ESET is likely causing file system conflicts, so please remove and replace it with Windows Defender for temporary troubleshooting purposes:

My pleasure!

Let me know how everything goes after the ESET removal/replacement.

Regards,

Patrick
