Good day experts!
I would like to seek help on this forum regarding this issue. I'm trying to diagnose the problem on my Windows 8.1 installation because I believe some system files were damaged and/or corrupted and I seem to deduced the symptoms based on the errors I encounter and still encountering while using my PC. For instance, one recurring errors I see on my system is that Notepad is showing wrong fonts and missing typefaces, Adobe Acrobat randomly gives errors because of "Bad Windows Image" and some Microsoft Office applications does not simply run, specifically MS Excel which gives an error "Not enough memory to run Microsoft Excel. Please reinstall." For these reasons, I tried to run the command sfc /scannow to check for file integrity and returned this:
From this, I know now that there are system files that were corrupted and needed repair. I then used DISM to try to restore the system files using my Windows 8.1 installation disc and used /limitaccess flag to prevent it from using Windows Update since it is on a domain environment. However, it returns an error like this:
What other options should I take to fix this problem? I have uploaded my CBS and DISM log files here for your reference. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
