Hello,
I am unable to update IE 9 to version 10 or 11, and this has been an ongoing issue since spring of 2013 (the computer is a secondary laptop that I had not turned on from approximately late December 2012 to April 2013 due to my being preoccupied with my mother's hospitalization and subsequent passing from cancer).
I am also having ongoing problems with other attempted security updates installations failing (with error codes such as 80073712 and 9C57). Other updates such Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool and Definition Updates for Microsoft Security Essentials download and install just fine.
When I run sfc it produces the message "Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." I have also run the SURT tool (the checkSUR log reports "No errors detected and CBS Catalog Expired Total count: 6"). I have also scanned the computer for viruses and malware (none were found).
I have attached a zip file of my CBS folder.
Any help that you can provide would be much appreciate.
