Found this forum through searches trying to correct Win update errors. Hopefully, I may be able to finally get this corrected with help from knowledgeable and busy people here. My name is Robert and my forum handle was given to me while out of country.

Hi Robert aka Bobosan and welcome to Sysnative.

You might find that many of us were given our "handles". Mine was given to me way back in the early 90s by my old colonel when the general forgot his password and I had to reset it - again. Or maybe it was when I recovered an important document the general accidentally deleted - again. Or it might have been that time I was able to pull back an email the general hit "Reply to all" - again! ;) Luckily on that one, it was a weekend and I got it back before any of the recipients had a chance to see it. Anyway, after keeping the general off the colonel's back once again, the colonel named me "Digerati". I didn't even know it was a real word but it stuck. :LOL:

I have no doubts if you need help with Windows Update, this it is the place to get it.
 
Thank you softwaremaniac & Digerati. I see that you guys & gals(?) are plenty busy with update issues. I've sorta been dealing with mine since they started occurring last year, by hiding the errant updates. :huh: Every now and then I would try different procedures in attempt to fix but nothing has worked. Figured I better do something before software meets its demise and didn't trust myself to do a correct restore of OS.
