Was recommended to come here and ask my question so I finally did.

A little about me. I run my own computer tech forum based on the phpBB website software. Hardly any visits or users due to SEO and social media that now prevails, despite it being online for some five years now. 😆 It's more of a project anyway to learn about websites and cybersecurity. So far I've learned a lot thus far. I enjoy all facets of espionage, read books on things like the NSA, CIA, SAS, Delta Force and other para military forces. I also read books on fighting techniques, escape and evasion, security, etc "I have a particular set of skills." I like both science and pseudo science, read about cosmology, history, politics and other things that spark my curios interest. I also like to learn about electronics and can read basic schematics. Love aviation and because of a real great add-on for FSX, I have learned damn near everything about a 737 NG. I know what most buttons and switches do, program the FMC, use SIDs and STARs and all that rot. I used to fly in the online universe for flight simulation called VATSIM using real-life procedures, etc. I also have a knack for radio communications. I'm mostly interested in RXing more than TXing and I have my "police scanner" (as most would call it) connected to my laptop sitting here that's on 24/7 who's sole purpose is to record audio and data from the radio. I run a Team Speak server on this laptop, and because I have a VPN in my router using Asus Merlin, I can VPN in with the OPenVPN App on my phone and once in can make a connection with the Team Speak App to hear my scanner anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. This laptop also has an FTP server which I use with my phone and other computers to move files around. One day I'd like to learn how to use WebDAV.

In a nutshell, I've been interested in technology and computers for a long time and have expanded that to also include aviation and radio communications. If I stay here perhaps I can be an assist. I've been helping people with computer problems on various tech forums for some 14 years.
