A few months ago I was running windows vista service pack 2 and was having trouble with my blu-ray drive not being recognized. I went back to SP1 and the problem was fixed. Yesterday I tried to update back to SP2 but I could not update and got the 8000fff error. I used the fixit tools that they suggested and restarted and get the same problem. I followed the regedit steps and could not find the keys it said to delete. I've searched the web but haven't found anything that works yet. I'm DL the system update readiness tool right now, but it is taking a really long time, not sure if its freezing or if it just takes awhile. I'm sure this is an easy fix, anybody that can help me???

my cbs log .zip file is attatched

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Lets see if we can use SFCFix to repair these corruptions automatically.

Download and Run SFCFix

Please download and run SFCFix from >Here<

It will take about 15 minutes to process. Once the scan has completed a notepad file will launch with the results. Please copy and paste the entire contents of the results and post them back into this thread. Please put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

sorry I don't know where you want me to put those code tags.

That's alright.

This is is the first time I have seen a corruption with one of these files:
Code:

well that can't be good. I hope there is a fix, if not I'm riding it out with SP1 I guess.
