GREETINGS to every respected member of the community. I am opening this thread due to the fact that I found some errors after running sfc /scannow, and the system seems to not be able to repair it. After doing some readings on the web, I then downloaded the SFCFIX.exe and run it as per instructed after running DISM. Hereby I attached all three logs related in zip files.

LAPTOP SPECS:
INTEL CORE I5
WINDOWS 8.1
8GB RAM
1TB HDD

Thank you in advance for the attention and willingness to assist.

Hi I'm Gary R,

I'm a Security Analyst, and a Windows Update Trainee, and I'd like to help you with your problems.

As a trainee, any instructions I give you must first be checked by a qualified update expert, before I post them. This will by necessity introduce some delay to any of my replies, so please be patient.

I am looking over your logs now, and will be back as soon as I've finished analysing them.

WARNING! The following fix is specific to the user's system in this thread only. No one else should follow these instructions, as it could damage your system.

  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it on your desktop.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt
  • Open the file, then copy and paste its content in your next reply.

Next ...

  • Restart the computer.
  • Run the command SFC /SCANNOW in an elevated command prompt and report the result.
  • If it fails, attach a zipped C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log to your next reply.
